Ogle and author/business professor Larry Robertson will present their case for melding entrepreneurship and the earth systems science in a presentation entitled An Entrepreneurial Look at Earth and its People. The presentation will begin at 7:00 tonight at the Arlington Central Library auditorium (1015 North Quincy Street).
Ogle says he hopes the presentation can be “a catalyst” for opening communication between the environmental and business communities.

Those lovable optimists from the Westboro Baptist Church are coming back to Arlington next week to protest military funerals outside Arlington National Cemetery.
The Kansas-based church members, who also protest baseball games, breast cancer awareness motorcycle rides and high schools, will hold signs and yell hateful stuff outside the cemetery on the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 4 and Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Local Lobbyist Pleads Guilty to Illegal Campaign Contributions — Lobbyist Paul Magliocchetti pleaded guilty Friday to making $386,250 in illegal campaign contributions to members of Congress. Magliocchetti founded the Arlington-based firm The PMA Group, which folded in 2009, several months after being raided by the FBI. One of PMA’s major beneficiaries was Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), who received nearly $1 million from the firm over ten years. More from the Washington Times.
