Update on Construction at Samuel Beckett’s

After some delays, Shirlington’s new Irish pub is expected to open by the end of November.

Signs and renderings posted in the window give an idea of what the place will look like when it opens.

“The entire interior for Beckett’s is coming from Ireland,” a letter to customers reads. ”We [will] have a total of three bars, two fire places and a mezzanine level.”

    Nice!

Looks like a cozy place to hang out in the winter, especially with the fireplaces. Good timing with the opening in Nov.

Bring it on. I can’t wait!
I just hope it’s not the same as the CoPi mega irish bar. Nothing cozy about a 200 seat bar.

Looks great. I just hope it doesn’t knock P Brennans on the Pike out of business. Brennans has easier parking in the garage under the building and great food. Shirlington is always going to suffer from parking problems because the hotel, apartments, and Enterprise rental car take away so much of the parking; when the spaces aren’t in use by the offices. More than twelve years ago when I went to the planning meetings on the then planned redevelopment of Shirlington I tried to raise this issue. But the county and the developers didn’t wan to hear it. Now try getting parking behind HT or the Signature on a weekend or evening. Ugh.
