Recently re-elected Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) and his wife of six years, LuAnn Bennett, are calling it quits.
“While our marriage may be ending, our friendship and respect for one another is not,” the couple said in a joint statement announcing the separation. “We will continue to be supportive of one another as we move forward with our lives.”
It was the long-time congressman’s third marriage.

Our very own Larry King….
I’m still waiting for the headline: “District Splits With Moran on Election Day”
Thankfully, that day won’t come any time soon, if the margins in the last election are any indicator.
Perhaps not the general election, but maybe a Democratic primary?

TGEoA and Pope: Knock it off. This is neither the time nor the place.
Pray tell, when is it it the time or place to discuss Moran’s history of spousal abuse, be it physical or financial?
I’m with you!
sorry i missed the commentary.
shall I add “small minority children who stand too close to his car.”
Moran is a temper waiting to flare.

FYI, anytime you start a sentence with “Pray Tell”, you wave the overt flag of douchery.
It’s always sad when a marriage breaks up.
At least he’s not one of the hypocrites who constantly vote to “uphold traditional marriage” but are unable to uphold their own.
right you are
For ARLnow,
Joined this late but cannot find the posts that you said to “knock it off”. Are you censoring comment because you don’t agree or were they not to your liking or were they offensive, Anything but the later is offensive to me.
We removed posts that violated our comment policy.
Not knowing the difference between “latter” and “later” is offensive to me.
have we become so cynical and partisan that even when something as personal, stressful and saddening as a divorce occurs to someone, whether we like them or not, that we feel the need to throw insults, accusations and other disparaging comments? Not sure i understand people who are upset with the current political environment then launch personal attacks against someone they disagree with when the person is clearly going through something very difficult.
Very best to the Congressman and his family this holiday season, may they find joy, peace and comfort. The same goes for the rest of you – It’s Christmas, be Merry!
I sure hope no one is deleting comments that are truthful.
They did one of mine, don’t anything bad about the county board.
TGEoA and Pope: since when is it any of your business? “Let ye who is without sin cast the first stone”.
I would think an appropriate time to comment would be in the comment section of a blog where the blog post is reporting on the man and his most recent divorce. Just sayin.
With his third divorce, Moran is proving he is as Catholic as he is a Virginian.
