What god do I have to pray to in order to get a good snowfall?

    • AllenB

How many inches do you need for it to be good?

      • Anon

        That’s what she said.

        • G

          +1

        • ClarendonKing

it’s not just about the inches, it’s also about density, moist levels, and whether it sticks well (otherwise you can’t make snowballs).

          • AllenB

Are you saying your balls are inoperable without proper moisture?

          • ClarendonKing

yeah, sometimes the product is too “dusty”, the best course of action in that situation is to add some spit as you are rolling the balls in your hands.

          • AllenB

I see your point, and yes, I agree that in that situation a little extra lubrication helps with the manual manipulation of the balls.

Ah, ha. So that’s why all the toilet paper and bread flies off the shelves.

I can’t seem to be able to hoist more than one or two balls at a time. Any advice?

          • AllenB

Hmmm… that’s a hard one, Local. It would suck to not be able to handle more than a couple of balls at a time.

          • ClarendonKing

Well it is tricky but what I usually do is to try to balance one ball on my knee while I am busy kneading the other. Be careful no to squeeze though! They can be very fragile.

          • AllenB

One ball at your knee? I’ve never had to do that but I hear that’s a common stance for the elderly.

          • shirley

i think he meant to say he was on his knees balling…
and where was the beer can? and the other beer can?

          • Cyrus

And frankly if Arlington County pre-treats the roads the balls may end up being too salty.

          • Skeptical

Poor Frosty, he’s emasculated before he’s built with you crowd working the situation.

  • Josh

AHHH! (sound of stampeding feet and doors slamming as people race out to buy TP and white bread…)

  • MrWhipple

i control the snow. supplies are good at most stores. i shall let it snow.

  • Ballstonian

Another snow tease…again. Great, getting blue balled again on snow this week.

  • Vinh An Nguyen

Dammit, I was planning on going to the grocery store tonight. Now it will be a madhouse.

    • ArlBlueSky

      Hah, me too!

  • JohnW

Hate to break it to you but since I bought a new snow shovel in November and signed up for, and received, the county snowthrower program I gauranteed us zero real snow this year. [seeing how the conversation has been trending above I renamed the county program!]

  • Let It Snow

    This just in…

2″ of salt expected in Clarendon.

    • KArlington

We could just redistribute all the crap left on the streets from the last snow non-event. Oh wait, that all washed down from the ice event where no salt was in evidence. Bummer.

So, on a scale of 1-10, how crowded will Spider Kellys be tonight?
