Yes, it seems that the much-ballyhooed royal wedding is local news. After all, that and a weather item regarding today’s slight risk of showers makes up the entirety of the “above the fold” portion of the Washington Post’s local news page.
So we might as well give a nod to pop culture and ask: did you watch the wedding? Bonus question for the comments: were you late to work as a result?

It was really cool the way they honored William’s teeth by having all those horses in the procession.
Was Camilla leading the train?
For those that voted #3, please elaborate

I like turtles.
We threw their tea in the harbor for a reason.
Nope. And I’m British, too!
I took my dog for a walk instead. That’s right, I would actually rather watch a dog take a crap than watch those over privileged, inbred morons get hitched.
I moved to a republic for a reason!
You moved to a republic so you could watch over privileged, inbred morons get elected?
While im not into that stuff I did watch because the wedding was preempting my morning news. I admit that the English really have a lock on tradition when it comes to royalty. The whole thing was really nice. Kinda makes me wonder how much of our Presidential ceremony was influenced by our ties England.
I watched . . . the woman made me do it. Just like Adam said.
I streamed parts of it during my snack break at work. It took me under 10 minutes to watch all the parts I wanted to see. Meanwhile, my coworkers loudly went on and on about how they don’t care about the Royal Wedding for far longer
Please get a life people! Why do so many obsess about people they do not know, nor will ever meet? This is as stupid if not mor estupid than obsessing about who wears what to whatever award show. Stop being so shallow.
Maybe it’s not about being shallow. Maybe it was just nice to watch a joyful bit of news about two people in love instead of the constant barrage of war, politics, and weather disasters. Is that really so terrible? Sheesh.
While I don’t really care, I was at home today and watched some of it. The Middleton’s are one attractive family. I like tradition too.
