Arlington has a new mobile baked goods vendor.
The “Sweet Fleet” truck is making its public debut today in Ballston, Rosslyn, Courthouse and Shirlington. The truck features cupcakes, cookies and other treats baked by Jason Reaves, a pastry chef and an upcoming competitor on TV’s Food Network Challenge.
Prices range from $3.00 to $3.50 for individual cupcakes and $2.00 for cookies. The truck will serve “all of Arlington,” managers say. You can follow its location on Facebook and Twitter.

The world is coming to an end? FREDTERP
Because it sure seems that way.
FREDTERP
It’s… happening… The war has gone mobile… everyone to your scythed chariots!
I hear the 2INPINK license plate is available. Looks perfect for these girls.

I wonder if the complementary license plate to that is available? Maybe for use by a roto-rooter truck?
Easy now…I think we should keep this clean
Had to include that “all of Arlington” comment just to stir the pot, didn’t you?
How many times do you think they’ll venture down to the Pike before retracting that statement?
The truck will make it down the pike. When they go out of business it will end up in some parking lot.
I saw them cruising in rosslyn trying to find a parking spot. in the 20 minutes I was out, they were unsuccessful.
also, how many f’n cupcake trucks do we need? I don’t even get it, at least make them muffin sized or something.
It was getting so tedious lumbering over to the the retail cupcakes. Now if they could just deliver to my bedside, I wouldn’t have to pause the tiVo to go downstairs.
This is out of control.
Wow, i had no idea cupcakes cost that much money. That’s the going rate?
They won’t be as good as Curbside and appear more expensive, so what does it matter?
too. much. pink.
So tired of the “cupcake fad”…oh, and the “fro-yo fad”, too!
Bring ‘em to the Pike! Why should DC get all the curbside service?
They were in CC last week; they tasted good, but a couple were stale. Kinda small compared to their competitors.
But how were the cupcakes?
hah, nice
How much for the little girl? How much for the women?
Really? Is that what you’re saying? Do people have to be this disgusting in Arlington? You should be ashamed.
Here’s the clue your missing

…and the Sausage King of Chicago comes to the rescue! Huzzah!
Hey you know that Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times?” News like this makes Arlington seem like the least cursed place on the planet.
I had them and I thought they were amazing! The girl was super nice and I think it’s awesome there is finally a variety in the cupcake food truck business. I also think it’s nice to finally have food trucks here rather than JUST DC.
Well I thought these cupcakes were amazing…..for all of you who want to pass judgement on folks trying a new venture…. then don’t buy them and certainly don’t make judgements….. Here is a couple of people trying to get ahead in providing a great service of fun cupcakes. As your mother said if you don’t have anything nice to say…….These ladies were great, polite and did their best to help serve the huge line that was outside today. When they come back I will certainly be there to support them. Thanks SWEET FLEET for making my day. PS I enjoy the pink truck I think it looks great.
Can’t wait to see the new flavors that you bring.
After my visits to Buzz and Sprinkles, I think I am done with cupcakes for a while.
Try Bakeshop. They’re the best by far.
After trying Sprinkles on M St and Buzz in Ballston, I think I am done with cupcakes for a while. They were horrible. I think some of the suckers need to be shaken out of the market.
Yes please. I’d like a cupcake too.
Only in America. I do not understand Food Network’s obsession with a fecking cupcake. My 11 year old niece can make them. It’s a CUPCAKE. Grow up.
