Two teenage girls were the victim of perverted behavior on the streets of Arlington over the past week. Last Tuesday, according to the Arlington County crime report, a 14-year-old girl was touched by a man while she was walking home from school.
SEXUAL BATTERY, 06/07/11, 2600 block of John Marshall Drive. On June 7 at 2:30 pm, a 14 year-old female was walking home from school. An unknown male walking in front of her abruptly turned around and touched her chest. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, 5’7″ and of an average build. He had dark hair and was wearing a white t-shirt, gray mesh shorts, a white baseball cap and black sneakers.
Then, on Monday, a man exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl in Virginia Square.
EXPOSURE, 06/13/11, 3800 block of Wilson Boulevard. On June 13 at 9 pm, a 16 year-old female was walking home from work when an unknown man exposed himself in front of her. A taxi driver heard her yell and ran to assist. The suspect fled and the cab driver drove the girl to the police department. The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern or Indian male in his late 20’s, 5’8″ and 180 lbs. He was wearing a light colored shirt, khaki pants, and “Crocs”.

ABDUCTION, 06/09/11, 1800 block of S. George Mason Drive. On June 9 at 6 am, a man brandished a knife and forced his ex-girlfriend to drive him to work. He also assaulted her. The suspect is known.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 06/11/11, 1900 block of S. Randolph Street. On June 11 at midnight, two women fought each other with a knife and beer bottles. They were both arrested. Jennifer Murphy, 25, of Arlington, and Ambi Scott, 32, of Arlington, were both charged with Malicious Wounding. They were held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 06/13/11, 4100 block of Columbia Pike. On June 13 at 12:30 am, a man was assaulted by a number of male suspects in the parking lot outside a restaurant.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 06/13/11, 400 block of N. Glebe Road. On June 13 at 7 am, a man was assaulted and bitten by one of his roommates.
ROBBERY, 06/10/11, 900 block of S. George Mason Drive. On June 10 at 9:45 am, a woman claimed that two unknown subject stole a bank deposit from her hand. The suspects are described as African American males in their 20’s. One suspect was thin and wore dark clothing. The second suspect was heavyset and wore a black shirt and khaki pants.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 06/10/11, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. On June 10 at 3:50 pm, a man assaulted an off-duty Arlington Sheriff’s Deputy and threw rocks at the victim’s vehicle. Bukhari Daoud, 32, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault and Battery and Missile into an Occupied Vehicle.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 06/11/11, 5000 block ofColumbia Pike. On June 11 at 9:40 am, a disorderly passenger spit on a Metro bus driver. Keith Franklin, 44, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and battery. He was held without bond.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 06/14/11, 2800 block of Potomac Avenue. On June 13 at 10 pm, an intoxicated and disorderly female assaulted a hotel employee. Susan Ellison, 62, of Lakeside, CA, was charged with Assault and Battery. She will be held until sober.
BURGLARY, 06/09/11, 2800 block of N. Harrison Street. Between 7:30 pm on June 8, and 7:30 pm on June 9, an unknown subject entered a house under construction and damaged property. There is no suspect description.
BURGLARY, 06/09/11, 3500 block of S. 17th Street. On June 8 between 1:45 pm and 9 pm, someone entered the victim’s residence and stole tax return checks. There were no signs of forced entry.
BURGLARY, 06/10/11, 1700 block of N. Quinn Street. On June 10, between 6 am and 3:30 pm, an unknown person entered and apartment and stole electronics. There are no known suspects.
BURGLARY, 06/13/11, 1600 block of N. Quinn Street. On June 10, between 10 am and 3 pm, an unknown person entered and apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects.
