Morning Poll: Will You Be Making Returns This Week?

by ARLnow.com | December 27, 2011 at 10:00 am | 701 views | 7 Comments

Now that Christmas has come and gone, and all the presents have been unwrapped, another holiday tradition is upon us: the rush back to stores to return unwanted or ill-fitting gifts.

The week after Christmas is traditionally a busy one for retailers as they start to take returns (and as shoppers who received gift cards start to cash them in).

Will you be making returns this week?

I think I’ll wait ’til the crowds die down a little.

No kidding! I’m downstate and went to Best Buy to get a cable. The checkout line was ok but the return line was crazy long.

Had to go to Best Buy yesterday– the new laptop we’d bought was a lemon (video died). It was about a 90 minute process to make the exchange.

Pentagon City was a hornet’s nest yesterday.

Specifically- Macys was absolutely insane. I felt so bad for the employees working there. It looked like nobody was buying anything, just exchanges and returns.

I’ve got plenty of books to return.

The County Library’s web catalog search feature seems to be currently down.

I returned a couple of things at Tysons yesterday morning. It looked pretty crowded but my transactions went swiftly and efficiently.

Best Buy has always made returns/exchanges excruciatingly difficult (the cynic in me believes this is a conscious corporate policy). I shop at BB only as a last resort.
