I find it especially ironic you invoke the bible here. Doesn’t that book have a lot more to say about the treatment of the poor and less fortunate? Or are you more of a buffet style Christian, picking and choosing among what suits your own particular needs and prejudices best?

You are either a troll or a really bitter, depressed person, or both. Maybe you need treatment. Plenty of veterans out there with mental health problems (some of them homeless). Seek help.

What is a “loony bin,” steve?

How is it any different from a shelter, except perhaps with treatment available?

Did it occur to you that she might not be seeking or sticking with treatment…because her mental illness causes her not to? Or that it keeps her from affording it because she has no job because she’s crazy, and in this country you need a job to get health care?

And, again, why do you think she wouldn’t be there without a shelter? Do the homeless only congregate around shelters?
