Wow, did anyone involved think the logistics through? The side streets north and south are going to be nuts. Plus some of these detour streets in Courthouse are closed half of Saturday because of farmers markets and junky art fair near the CVS. Plus that detour shown for the week of January 25-27 is very messy: there is no green arrow turning left from Washington Blvd to 10th Street east bound. It’s very hard to do.

It used to be both lanes turned left in the morning rush hour…has that changed? It would seem a ridiculously inopportune time to make that change with all the increased traffic volume due to this detour.

When fairfax reopens—at least the portion that used to connect to CourtHouse Rd, will no longer connect to CourtHouse Rd—that is going to be sealed off.
