So for what has to be the tenth time in the last five years, we’re going at least a couple days without water pressure…. how many 60+ year old 30″ pipes are there? And why the hell is the county more focused on building an indoor lazy river than addressing basic infrastructure needs???

I guess an aquatics center in SoArl doesn’t sound like a good idea. So my guess is that Tejada will propose a TIF to pay for one in SoArl.

i think you should consider running. develop the predictive capability to forecast water main breaks and you’d be golden.

An aspiring politician really ought to try to make hay out of the increasingly common water main failures in South Arlington. This is an unacceptable level of service considering the County’s high tax base.

Looks like I’ll be adjusting and taking my showers before bed now. I hope they’ve identified the source (and there are no other leaks) and can fix it. Thank you for the updates on this!

Also, minor nit-pick: the title of this article says S. Arlington, but Buckingham (my neighborhood) is actually in N. Arlington.

The county will hold a closed session meeting next Friday to discuss a new TIF district for all of South Arlington for the purpose of selling retail bonds which will fund the repair of the affected water mains.

I am sure the water problems will be a thing of the past when the glorious trolley starts running its route – oh wait– those pipes are buried under the tracks? Hmmmm……
