Mad Rose Tavern hosts a host release party for the film Fast & Furious 6. The event includes sleek cars on display, plus hookah and champagne on the patio.

abacommunityday35th Annual Leeway Overlee Community Day and Yard Sale*
John Marshall/Ohio Street Greenway (6101 N 22nd Street)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The community will be out in force to exchange information and greetings, sell unneeded household items, and pick up a few bargains. The Leeway Overlee Civic Association, the event’s sponsor, will host a live music trio as in past years.

Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre at Artisphere (1611 N Kent Street)
Time: 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

National Chamber Ensemble’s season finale will feature the Three B’s, the music of Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. The concert will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.

The Summer 2024 STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Math) Fellowship application is now open! Apply by April 15 to be considered!

The STEAM Workforce Development Teacher Fellowship provides Arlington Public Schools (APS) high school, middle school, and elementary school teachers with opportunities to learn about workplace needs in STEAM-related fields and for them to use the experience to enhance student learning to match workplace expectations in a selected industry. STEAM Fellows participate in a three-week summer fellowship, receiving a $4,000 stipend upon completion.

Applicants planning to pursue a fellowship in the arts must demonstrate how they will build connections between the arts and science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
