Some restaurants offer "half price burgers" on a certain night of the week. Others have "kids eat free" specials. Still others have "half price appetizers" during happy hour. I thought it might be helpful if we gathered the collective wisdom of Arlnow readers and compiled a list of restaurant food deals available on different nights of the week. Then, if you ever wanted to go out for a bite to eat and were looking for a deal, you'd have a resource to turn to.
Some posting suggestions that will help make this list as beneficial as possible:
-Format your contributions concisely for ease of use. For example, "Monday – Half price burgers all day – XYZ Restaurant."
-List only recurring deals. Please don't list a special that is for "this Tuesday only" because next Tuesday that deal won't be of any use on this list. Please also exclude groupon deals, etc.
-Post only really good deals. I'm talking half price, buy one get one (BOGOs), etc. Why? Most people aren't going to go out of their way to save $1 on nachos, so please exclude the little deals.
-Include great deals from all nearby restaurants – locals, chains, etc.
-Please don't turn this topic thread into a critique of food dishes. If Joey posts "Saturday – Half price omelets from 9am to noon – ABC Restaurant," please don't waste time telling us your unabridged thoughts on the western omelet.

Every restaurant week: Willow offers their restaurant week specials for an extra week (the week following the official restaurant week).
Monday and Tuesday: Half price burgers at Thirsty Bernie
Sunday and Tuesday (not sure of times): Rock Bottom will give you a free glass with a $4.95 pint and $2 refills

Half price burgers abound:
Monday – Whitlow's
Tuesday – Jay's Saloon and Spider Kelly's (both have beer deals too)
Wednesday – 11th street lounge, Mister Day's
Not the most high-end establishments, but good tasting stuff for cheap.
The happy hour at Piola is good in my opinion too – only bottles, wine, and mixed drinks (no draft beers), but I like the roving cocktail waiters with trays of free appetizers.
Another "deal" that only exists part of the year is extended restaurant week specials. In the past Willow, Liberty Tavern, 3, and Lyon Hall, off the top of my head, have done them at one time or another.

Right on to the Pete's and Mexicali Blues suggestions. Idk why everyone hates on Mexicali so much; their food tastes good to me and with half off you're coming in way cheaper than Baja Fresh or CalTort.

Thai Curry, on N Glebe Rd north of the intersection with Pershing Dr, 1/2 price beer/wine/appetizers happy hour M-F 4-8pm, $3 Beerlao cold good with Thai food.

Capital City Brewery Restaurant in Shirlington has $2 "core four" drafts on Thursdays and select apps are half-price during happy hour (4-7) and after 10 pm. Wednesday at Cap City is Ladies Night and various lady drinks are half off.
Ping in Shirlington has half price bottles of wine on Wednesday nights.
