Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions and all those who contacted me offline or through Facebook. We had more than 40 local Iraq and Afghanistan vets show up for our get-together last Friday at the John Lyon VFW Post near Courthouse. Quite a few told me they learned of the event through this site. While there were some active duty guys and gals, most were attending local universities and busy with their studies and getting used to civilian life. Welcome home to all of our brothers and sisters – we’re going to start hosting us this on a monthly basis so stay tuned or feel free to contact me.
