What does it tell us that in our nation’s capital we aren’t allowed to have a firearm outside of the home, and the only reason you can have one inside the home was because the supreme court forced the city to allow it?

Did you hear the story this morning about some woman who called 911 in DC who house was broken into and she got put on hold?

oh man, the delusion here is absolutely amazing.

"This will be a non-violent event," the Facebook group warns, "unless the government chooses to make it violent."

–What does he think is gonna happen?  Does he think that DC police won’t do their job here ?

“Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington”

–Another good one.  If you are turned back, its because DC police did their job, not that free people are not welcome in Washington.

“When the government comes to take your guns, you can shoot government agents, or submit to slavery.”

–NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE YOUR GUNS !  Why do gun-nuts keep saying that?

Also, this guy strikes me as someone who doesn’t know how to take personal responsibility and loves to blame others.

I’d bet serious money that this will be a classic case of all hat and no cattle.  The organizer will find some excuse to cancel or not show at the last minute.  And if he does show, there will be a group of no more than 10 people who will take one step into DC, be turned away by police, and then go home crying about their lack of liberty.

right, he’s already building up excuses for not showing.  “We have to have 1000 people”.  999 is not enough !!

The best case scenario would be for 999 muslims to show up weapons in hand to participate in his freedom quest.  Barring that, hopefully the chief malcontent will be arrested and enjoy one of NS’s feel good moments while celebrating independence day locked up.

I’m betting that he chickens out as well- he will blame it on some anonymous government threat or not meeting his prerequisite number of followers or a bad case of diarrhea or something.

I do want to make 2 corrections though to the commenters above:

    1) The government is coming for our guns. Anyone with their eyes open can see that. Just look at the SAFE Act provisions that took effect in NY a few weeks ago. Look at what happened in Colorado and right next door in Maryland. Our rights are under attack.

    2) Kokesh would probably love for 999 Muslims to show up… or anyone willing to go all the way for their beliefs. Kokesh is with IVAW and Code Pink. If you are implying that he is an Islamophobe, there is quite a bit of evidence to the contrary.

Please show me a documented case of a citizen having their gun taken away from them as a part of gun control…

Captain obvious, even if no guns are taken away, if they ban a class of weapons, what do you think happens? If htey want to keep them under a grandfather clause, then the person gets treated like a criminal and needs to register the gun, get finger printed and renew it. Would you be fine with finger printing women who want abortions if you have no problem treating people like criminals for exercising their constitutoinal rights?

SAFE Act gun confiscations are taking place right now in NYS.

    Captain_Obvious May 6, 2013 - 12:59 pm #72222 Reply

ok, just so we’re all clear here:  no confiscations have actually occurred, just some license suspensions, according to your link.

I would be curious to know if the police actually showed up to take the guns or if it was more of a threat.  And by the way, I wouldn’t base anything on what NY has done…they’ve proven to be quite irrational as a state (banning large sodas).

Also, serious question:  What does/should happen if a gun owner starts having serious mental problems ?

@NS, I won’t respond to you until you answer the question I’ve been asking you over and over and over regarding transmissions…

Should you lose the vote if you start experiencing mental problems?

    @NS, still waiting…

Heard about that 3d printed gun that is all plastic but the firing pin? The maker says he can even have a plastic firing pin. Already liberals are throwing tantrums, wanting to ban 3d printers, place restrictions, throwing up a huge hissy fit over nothing becaues it makes it look like they are “doing something” even though it won’t accommplish anything.
