Anyone know anything about this?
Dear ATS Families:
This afternoon, the Arlington County Police notified us of a robbery of a jogger that occurred on a nearby bike path. The report we received said that the incident also involved a shooting. As a precaution, we have secured the school building and all students are being kept inside.
The police have apprehended one or more suspects and are investigating. I wanted to assure you that everyone is safe and we have taken this step to ensure everyone’s safety while the police do their work. We are continuing with our regular instructional day.

Gosh, this is not what I want to hear, as a daily multi-use path commuter. I’m sure ARLnow is already hot on the trail of any information about this, but let’s hope there’s a good resolution.

Update and Clarification
As a follow up to our earlier School Talk alert, initial reports indicated that a shooting had occurred. We have been informed by the police department that shots were not fired. However, three subjects were taken into custody for an armed robbery on the Custis Trail and a firearm was recovered by police. We apologize for any confusion the earlier report may have caused.
I use that section of the trail a lot… well, a lot during the summer.
Scary stuff.
Good, maybe now some of you guppies will stop clogging up the trail and make some room for a real runner like me.
