Unfortunately I clipped a poll in our garage this morning and I'm in search of a good body shop in the area. I've used D&V in the past, but being near Dulles that's a heck of a drive. I know of Wagonwork Collision Center, but they are $$$ and my car is not a luxury vehicle.
Anyone have any recommendations in the Arlington area? The car will need some body work as the ding is across two door panels

I hate that about garages. I see lots and lots of cars in this area with damage that was probably from garages.
I can't help you with a body shop, but I do offer my condolences from the unforgiving concrete pillars!
I got T-Boned in April on the Pike. Insurance company recommended Arlington Collision Center on Four Mile Run. I have to say they have been amazing. Top quality work.
The county board would like to close any light industry in Arlington and replace it with condos and office space. It's already nearly impossible to find repair shops, car washes, gas stations are disappearing, etc.
I went to Arlington Auto Body Shop on N. Quincy Street a couple of years ago after one of the sideviews on my old car got sheared off and was hanging by a wire … very quick fast efficient work on an old car!

What? That those darn concrete pillars jump out at cars and cause damage? Hate to break it to you, it's the drivers inability, no reason to hate the garage, just your driving skills.
Yeah, but when they design them down to where the tolerances give about 1″ of clearance on either side of an average sized car, not to mention the fact that you have to take turning radii into account, there's not much room for error. Not making excuses for other people, but just saying. I crawl through the spaces between poles in my garage and I still hold my breath sometimes.
Specialty auto body on 5th and Quincy is fantastic.
Board hates cars. I've lived in Arl for 20 years, but I used Autobody of Vienna.
I know you said pricey, but Wagonworks is awesome. Owner even took it upon himself to pick me/drop me off since I wasn't bothering with a rental at the time.
PS I did the same thing…lousy pillars!
I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place, but my wife took her car to a body shop on N Quincy, just off of Glebe, oppsite American Service Center.Their body work was good, although they missed an airbag sensor that needed to be replaced which we ended up taking the bite for.
