Did I miss it or there are NO corrupt democrats in VA?

Loudon County Board corruption http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/articles/42920/planes-trains-and-conspiracy-theories/ , a bribery conviction of former Rep. William Jefferson, former Virginia Secretary of Finance John W. Forbes, II; and former Virginia Del. Phillip A. Hamilton are all republicans, not to forget the recent FBI investigations of Governor Robert F. McDonnell and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. No high profile FBI investigations into questionable activities of democrats in democrat controlled Virginia, especially in Northern Virginia.

And since Obama took office, the IRS has been caught red-handed targeting Republicans in general, as well as the Tea Party specifically. The FBI could also be under orders to only target Republicans in general, and the Tea Party specifically. Also, keep in mind DC’s city government, which is run by Democrats, is corrupt from top to bottom, to the point where it barely functions at all. And yet with the minor exception of the occasional nobody bureaucrats, which the Democrat party bosses could care less about, caught embezzling millions, the FBI looks the other way.

For the record I’m neither a Democrat or a Republican. Choosing between two great evils just seems like a wasted vote to me. Just trying to provide some perspective on this thread.

The FBI offices are targeting democrats and republicans equally in Georgia and other states, this is a local phenomena, indicating possibility of the widespread corruption. All federal governments are corrupt, I would argue Obama administration is significantly better comparing to the Chinese government, for example. The IRS appear to have questionable types, one was caught recently, as well as several FBI and DOJ officials. I would not put the blame on Obama administration, however, it appears to be the entire Washington area has deep corruption problem as uncovered recently in the state of NY, controlled by so called democrats, criminals operating under the color of law.

as well as the Tea Party specifically

So what?  A group named “Taxed Enough Already” should draw scrutiny from the IRS.  Do you care when a head shop draws scrutiny for drugs?

Big Government Republicans are actually more likely to go after the Tea Party. It would explain the IRS: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/05/22/Why-the-IRS-Went-After-the-Tea-Party-and-Not-Establishment-GOP

Obama to the rescue of the Tea Party? lol

@scottg: To answer your question, there are no corrupt Democrats in Arlington. (this is after all the ARLnow website).  And as hard as I try, I can not find anything Arlington related in your postings or referenced material. So, why are you posting? (Please don’t answer, it’s a rhetorical question).

But, I do wonder if you are a “clone.”  I find it interesting that your aren’t arguing with yourself, if you catch my drift, eh?

My bad, let me illustrate, Dezlboy? Arlington County Board Troll?

Impressive record of the Arlington County Board

There is NO Corruption in the Washington metropolitan area, NOT AT ALL, at least NOT relevant to Arlington.

Speaking of clones, if you click on comments of Swag, Sunshine, and Dezlboy it’s the same account…

    Dezlboy September 28, 2013 - 11:22 pm #88787 Reply

@scottg: Respectfully, you have made no argument to support your belief in (rampant?) corruption in Arlington.

The Boston article you cite has not one mention of Arlington.

The Montreal article you cite has not one mention of Arlington.

The San Diego article you cite has not one mention of Arlington.

The Washington Post article you cite about PenPlace has not one word about corruption or improper wheeling or dealing.

And, your last cited article is about a budget proposal from the Arlington County Manager which would have closed the county Office of Child Care and repealed Arlington County's child care standards, in favor of the “lower” Virginia State standards.  However, the County Board did not accept this proposal and instead maintained Arlington’s inspections on child care facilities.” No harm, no foul.

You have not revealed any smoke nor fire. While you clearly are dedicated to your cause, I will sleep sound tonight believing that my county is not infested with corruption, nor are my bedsheets except for the occasional flea or two or three.  OUCH!  :-)  And frankly, I am not intrigued enough at this point to involve myself in an internet conversation dealing with a non-issue. Perhaps others will find this discussion more to their interest.

Alas,  I am only me in the singular and no others. But, golly gosh, to denigrate both Swag and Sunshine’s intellectual abilities and enjoyable personalities by comparing them to my idiocies and juvenile interactions is so off the wall that even I need to bite my tongue.

You’re by far better informed about what Arlington County Board is doing, I have to give it to you Not Swag, Not Sunshine, but Dezlboy. Am glad the Arlington County ended up maintaining the child care standards, at least.

If you don’t see the relevance of the schemes in other states to Arlington County Board , let’s discuss the relevance of this situation:

A brave advocate in Illinois, Sheila Mannix, has uncovered the use of real estate to launder money for payoffs to court officials, including GALs, throughout the US. See, Mannix v Maram, et. al. USDC Northern District of Illinois, Case No. 10 C 3849 [The Court leaving the prosecution to the US Attorney]. Issues were raised about Federal Fraud underlying the "cottage industries" operating in the state of Illinois. It is believe that the facilitator of these family court fraud schemes, employing real estate trusts, is organized crime. Similar patterns through high real estate areas of Northern Virginia, including those of child snatching by Arlington County Family Courts, strongly indicate that this pattern of corruption is pervasive. Numerous cases of snatching are reported. No abuse findings, only “at risk” finding based on lies and opinions with no factual base in violation of Virginia Law, no due process, no audits, no FBI investigations regardless of numerous complains. There is NO conficts of Interests in Arlington Family Court http://arlingtonparentnews.wordpress.com/2011/08/27/conficts-of-interests-in-arlington-family-court/

No Arlington Sheriff's Deputies Assault Child After Sheriff's Deputies Assault, those are some imaginary injuries of a little girl: http://arlingtonparentnews.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/rushing-ashlie-to-hide-her-injuries/

No bribes, help me on this, Not Swag, Not Sunshine, but Dezlboy, you’re out to have a better copy of the testimony. “His client was told she needed to pay $20,000 to get her child back, DC lawyer Roy Morris testified December 17, 2009 before the joint Courts of Justice Committee in Richmond.” Arlington J&DR Chief Judge Esther Wiggins-Lyles was REAPPOINTED, NO audit, NO investigation. http://thepitchforkrebellion.blogspot.com/2009/12/lawyer-blasts-arlington-va-j-court.html

And NO, widespread corruption in Virginia doesn’t affect Arlington. “Virginia legislator Dave Albo did not follow the Virginia Supreme Court order in an oversight hearing where the legislator-lawyers “approve” the judges. In Virginia, House Delegates who appoint judges often appear before those same judges — creating a clear conflict of interest.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LIaYE8EcsDE
