All Hangover references aside, did anyone else in Courthouse see that giant “ACPD REMINDER: DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER” sign? It’s of the same variety as our old favorite, “DON’T HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU.” I’m wondering if last night was a repeat of two or three Sundays ago, during the course of which some 3 or 4 people were pulled over for DUI/DWI. Tuesday night just seemed like an odd drinking night to me. (Unless, of course, it’s Carnival, but that’s a different story--it’s out of season and we’re in the wrong hemisphere.)
On Dec 17, 1791, a regulation in New York City established the first “One Way” street. What better way to commemorate than to get drunk and drive the wrong way up Claredon Blvd.
People do that all the time. I can look out my office window and watch 20 people an hour drive the wrong way down one-way streets (and run red lights and all that other fun stuff).
There’s nothing funnier around the holidays than drunk drivers. Especially those driving the wrong way.

Yeah, cars driving right at you at night with no headlights on are hilarious.
