Anyone knows local beer store selling Edgar Allen Poe Beer?

I think I saw some recently at Westover -

You mean The Raven?  I’ve seen it at Westover and Grateful Red.

Thanks Quoth and CrystalMikey. BTW i think The Raven was either a special EAP beer or one of their regular brews. The only EAP beer I ever had (recently) had a picture of Poe on the bottle and was an IPA.

Have you tried Norm’s in Vienna? Whole Foods has some craft beer, as well as Wegman’s. Try Georgetown Wine and Spirits, they had Great Lakes Christmas Ale when it was in limited amounts.

I’m pretty sure that the Raven beer used to be the only beer that they made (Baltimore Beer Works) and they only recently expanded into other styles. I recall discussing the Raven with a co-worker at my previous job, which would mean it’s been around at least 5 years, but it’s been a lot longer than that (the info should be on the website). Anyhow, I’ve seen it pretty much everywhere – Whole Foods, Westover, etc.  The other beers, with Poe on the label are newish so they may not be in the the distribution channels yes due to shelf space, production volume, etc.

Why don’t you call a beer store dezlboy?

    CrystalMikey May 10, 2013 - 12:48 pm #72865 Reply

    dezlboy – no problem

Steve – Why not ask on here?  It eliminates the need to possibly call multiple stores asking the same question?

Apparently anything I ask on here I should have asked someplace else according to dezlboy.

I think he may be asking you to call someone else who can answer  your hypothetical questions.  This is a real, tangible question that someone here could answer.

I asked a tangible question about why a CBP car was in Buckinham. Finding the reason out why would be MUCH harder than calling up a beer store to ask them if htey had something in stock.

Typical scumbag steve, always trying to argue on the internet. We all know what arguing on the internet is like…

@NS, you wrote, “Why don't you call a beer store dezlboy?” I did, called several. But, since I have only bought beer at the food stores, I am not familiar with the beer stores. So i was hunting a needle in the haystack. Unlike some of your questions, I figured the best source for an answer would be ARLNOW forum members, and they came through.

If you need additional explanation please ask. At least I DO make an effort to answer my own questions…..

@NS, you wrote, “Apparently anything I ask on here I should have asked someplace else according to dezlboy.”

No, not anything. But, many of your questions can be answered by calling a single source (per question) as they are directed to specific agencies and the like.

For example, you wrote, “I asked a tangible question about why a CBP car was in Buckinham” My guess is that CBP would be the best source for an answer. Or a beer store?

    Anything else on your mind?

Apologizes to the forum. Slap me, please, when a beer thread becomes a “he’s at it again, thread” :-)

And, for all who replied. thanks!
