I was approaching Courthouse Road (near the old 10th Street merge) when I heard a loud explosion come from the direction of Fairfax Drive east of Courthouse Road. I could hear car alarms going off as I crossed the bridge over 50. I assume this is part of the construction.
Did anyone else hear this or know what was going on?

Speaking of the construction, when will the eastbound bridge to 50 from 10th Street reopen? The detour takes you through Arlington's typical cratered streets.

I think that is the final part of the construction slated for November 2013.
