Geez, if you despise a whole state because of an ex, it must have been bad. About the won ton soup from New York……it must be something fantastic if you cooler it all the way home from there. What makes it so yummy?
The NY wonton soup isn’t that good anymore as the places have closed down, though there’s a great wonton place in Manhattan (I was referring to long island) in Mee’s Noodle shop. Now I get my soup from Joe’s Duck House off the NJ Turnpike.
I’m headed to NYC for a few days so I looked at the Mee’s menu. It looks delicious! Wonton and noodles in curry soup? I’m drooling…..Thanks for the tip! I think Arlington needs a Wawa and a Mee’s.
I’ve only had it from the Mee’s on 9th avenue, not the 2nd avenue one. I don’t know if they are the same or the same quality.. The curry soup is VERY rich. You probably wont be able to eat much in one sitting, that’s why I get it to go… But it’s pretty good. Last time I had the curry it was more like steamed dumplings and noodles in curry. I think once before it was wontons instead.. Man, now I have to go up there in the near future and bring some back, and then from Joe’s Duck House off the NJ turnpike, then some dead freddies wings… Thank God for insulated bags.
PS, the soups at Hong Kong Palace (not Arlington, but nearby, in 7 corners area) are pretty good.
