It is a pub with normal pub rules. Just because it happens to be located in a grocery store does not mean the staff has not been trained in ABC laws and TIPS training.
The large number of high octane selections were accidental. Currently, only one of them is over 8%.
The growler prices have been dropped for a few months now.
The lighting has been adjusted, you don’t have to squint anymore.
They have a “tap takeover” when I went there last week. Half of the beers on tap were Port City (the Number Two was pretty good) and the other half were DC Brau. Not sure how much longer it lasts or if it is already over.
So I can go into the Arlington Pub with comedy breasts like Blackadder II had when his puritan aunt and uncle visited while he was hostingn a drinking competition?
novasteve– yes. you can do this. however, i’m calling you out that you won’t do it.
also, yes, the lighting is now at a tolerable level. someone finally told whole foods that they were giving people migraines.
Does anyone know what beers are currently on tap at Whole Foods? Tap takeover?
Last time I was there:
Dominion’s Baltic Porter from Dover, DE (very good). 6.8%, $6/pint.
Great Lakes Alchemy Hour’s Double IPA. 9.4%, $7.10/pint
Center of the Universe’s Kolsh. 4.5%, $5/pint.
Laughing Dog’s Sneaky Pete Imperial IPA. 10%, $6/pint.
21st Amendment’s Marooned on Hog Island Oyster Stout. 7.9%, $7/pint.
Dominion’s Cherry Blossom Lager. 5.2%, $5/pint.
Jack’s Cider, Helen’s Blend (me gusta). 5%, $5/pint.
