If it's terrorism

Get ready from some unpleasant commutes if you take the metro, should the explosions in Boston be terrorist attacks.

Just because they’re holding a Saudi national as their lead suspect doesn’t make it terrorism/extremism.  Remember, the most important thing we can do right now is give up our right to bear arms, so we have no way of protecting ourselves against the just “mercy bombers” of the world.

It’s domestic. Some left/right wing nut off their meds.

I could set a bomb off next t0 10,000 people, and I would be considered a terrorist. Tall white guys with below-average hair could be terrorists too. And I don’t think there is an extremist agenda on the record that is anti-fitness.

It is terrorism. An attack in a crowded area with the intent to inflict fear and terror along with causalities.

Regardless of the word you use to describe it, we will face some unpleasant commutes, but that is the price to pay for living in the D.C. area, surely this shouldn’t warrant a post whining about commutes while people have died and many more injured due to a bomb blast in a major city.

Atown, FWIW: I would describe terrorism as an act of indiscriminate violence intended to inflict fear and intimidation for political ends.

When isn’t METRO an unpleasant commute? Heck, I’d rather have armed security at the stations than Metro employees milling around not doing much of anything.

The next target will be public places where the homeless leave bags out. I’m sure you’lve all been to DC and seen just random suitcases laying about that doesn’t arouse suspicion because they think it belongs to a homeless person. Well, if you really wanted to kill people in a public place you could just make it look like homeless bags. I doubt the police are even taking this possibility seriously as I just walked about the Metro Center area and there are these bags outside, with the homeless person not even nearby.

Explosion in West, TX.  I wonder if this will be attributed to terrorism.

I think thing tend to blow up in fertilizer plants, it’s inherently dangerous. There have even been massive explosions in flour making plants because flour is highly flammable.
