Let's not let facts get in the way…

    http://news.yahoo.com/signs-rising-illegal-immigration-us-160922194–politics.html

I finally found the evidence that illegal immigrants are replacing people fleeing liberal nanny states…

Texas had a steady increase in immigration from 2007–2011…My only conclusion is Texas must be a nanny state.

Three states showed only declines in immigration….California, New York, and Illinois.

    yea…

You kinda forfeit your right to complain about troll posts when you post something like this, don’t ya think?

Not really, because at the time, I hadn’t found any data to refute this.  Now that I came across this, I felt like posting it because I prefer to rely on research instead of someone’s blind opinion about something.

That’s a really interesting set of statistics.

I’m really not sure if you’re trolling or not, but…Texas’ economy has been steadily growing at a rate significantly above the national average since at least 2008.  Could it be that immigrants (and U.S. citizens for that matter) are simply going to where the jobs are?

If you were trolling, pretty obnoxious post, so I guess you succeeded in your endeavor.

The article does say that about Texas’ economy.  The point of the post is to show that blind opinions are often false and based on previous prejudices.

I guess I should have gotten in my time machine for this post…it would have been more appropriate when the original comments about this were being posted a few days ago.  Sorry for my bad timing.
