Military Jets Flying above, again. August 2012

I was hoping to read something somewhere about NORAD exercises that seem to be taking place now in August 2012 over the DC area but nothing so I thought I'd ask here. Usually we hear something in the local news but I don't remember hearing anything. Anyone ? The jets seem to be doing their exercises for the past 2 weeks now with no let up.

I've been seeing these jets too, as well as something that appeared to be an AWACS plane. Haven't heard anything about them, but I'm very curious as well.

We happen to be in the flight path for these planes coming in and out of Andrews AFB, does not seem to be a mass increase in air traffic with no let up to me. There have also been a few fly overs at Arlington funerals lately.
