First, why didn’t your dog have a collar on? – I noticed that in the pictures you posted on the lost dog ad never show your dog with a collar. Just not in to collars?
Second, was the dog on a leash at the time of its escape? – Did you know Arlington has a leash law that requires all dogs and cats to be on a leash when they are not in an enclosure?
Arlington County’s leash laws DO NOT APPLY TO CATS*. Get your facts straight, HumanLeather.
350sbc, aren’t you the guy that was wrong about the ACPD Non-Emergency number that you posted on this form, only for the most notorious and gracious HumanLeather to swoop in and correct you. You should be thanking him. He saved you from embarrassment.
Its hard work being right. Some people like ShabbyTabby_TwoTone and 350sbc don’t appreciate accuracy and facts.
We live in Virginia, so here is the correct link:

So sorry your dog is lost. We posted your ad on our Facebook page, “Lost&Found Dogs-DC Metro area”, and let Wylie Wagg and PetMac know. If you haven’t found him, let us know and we can put you in touch with a group of volunteers who can help you look for him and flyer the area. There are also some pet trackers who can help you. Hope he is found soon.
I hope he’s found soon. Check with AWLA, vets in the area, and other shelters.
Please consider adopting your next dog, buying a collar, and leashing it.
Corrected thread title: “While breaking the law, I released my French Bulldog into the wild”.
Its safe to say that by now the dog was either hit by a car and has moved on to doggie heaven, or has been adopted by a bum. Make sure to keep all your animals on leashes from now on, that includes cats and birds. Its time to move on.
Good news, got a call this morning from Animal Welfare and Scrappy has been found and returned!
Thanks for the assistance.
(except for “human douche” who is clearly a loser)Put a collar on the animal this time, and keep it on a leash. You shouldn’t be wasting the city’s resources due to your negligence.
