Outdoor Smoking Ban American University

    Hey Guys, looks like NS refuses to answer my very simple question asked over 48 hours ago. See below. Instead rant, rave, whine, the same of stuff over and over and over. Comparing cigarette smoke and CO gas? Really? Come on Stevie, stop ranting for a second about gays, Obama, liberals, and wimps and answer my question:

    @NS: Still awaiting for a response.

    @NS, it is considerate for a smoker to refrain from smoking when in the vicinity of non-smokers. Do you refrain from smoking in the vicinity of non-smokers? Only requires a "YES" or "NO" answer.

    For example, bus stop, crowded walkway, in line at movies, etc.

    I want reckless murder of people banned. I want smoking in public areas banned. Therefore murder = smoking.

    When exactly did I say I hated smokers?

    Ahhh….the car exhaust / sealed room test.  Good to hear a familiar tune.  Been a while since that record was played.   Hateful, bigotry, persecution….blah blah blah.  Pure comedy gold.

    @wimmer201:

    Maybe a better test would be the sealed smoke filled room vs. the sealed gay sex filled room. Since NS is already a smoker, he will be sealed in the gay sex room, and you (generic you) in the smoke sealed room. Afterall, NS keeps using gayness in his arguments about smoker’s rights.

    Exactly.   Last time I checked ….being in the vicinity of sexual activity is not likely to fire up any cancerous tumors on my lungs.  The comparison is so far beyond absurd….but par for the course for the resident troll.

    @NS, since you have been on line today, and appear not to be trolling, maybe it’s a good time for you to answer a question I posed several days ago, (and repeatedly). Thank you.

    Personal observation: Ask NS a direct question (even one that only requires an one word answer) and he often disappears from threads that he even started. It’s like garlic against werewolves.

    If you aren’t in a room with smoke, you won’t be exposed to it. Your logic of banning smoking in places you wouldn’t go it is no different than banning gay bars or bath houses. You don’t approve of something, thus you ban it. ma,king you a BIGOT.

    For the 10,000,000 time, i only smoke when I drink. Since I can’t drink in a busstop, or in a park, I don’t smoke at busstops or parks.

    Ever consider the employees at a smoking bar??  Easy for you to say if you don’t like it just don’t go in.  But people have to work.  And jobs may be hard to come by.  Smoking bans protect the customers and the employees.

    @NS: With that addtional piece of information, please allow me to edit my question.

    “If you did not only smoke when drinking, but also desired to smoke in other settings around non-smokers, would you smoke?

    Disagree. I will never ever go into a kindergarden class. I favor banning smoking in those classes. I’m a bigot?

    Why do they work at a bar that allows smoking if they have a problem with smoke? Do you care about the well being of miners? Or people who work outside given they are exposed to car exhaust, UV radiation, etc? So if you think bans should be passed to protect employees, then you should also ban dry cleaned clothes from bars because those give off carcinogens. Perhaps they should ban sharp things in stores, so you can’t get a deli counter in giant anymore because the employees could hurt themselves… No building construction beacause they could hurt themselves or breath in car exhaust. And we of course should ban hospitals because the employeese there could be exposed to illnesses.
