What do you think’s going to happen nationally and statewise (aka locally) re: guns ?
Will they ban all semi autos, and will that be newly made semi autos, or will it be limited to “assault weapons” depending on however they define that. Do you think they’ll expand the definition beyond what they did last time by looking through a catalog and picking the “Scariest” looking guns to ban?
why don’t you post this on a conservative political site instead of here
in fact you could post everything that’s on your mind on that site
just a thought
I predict another “assault weapons ban” based purely on cosmetics and which will be every bit as silly and ineffective as the Clinton ban. The only difference might be that it won’t have an expiration date this time and could be permanent. But if you don’t ban all semi-autos, then you’re really not changing anything.
Oh, and a ban on high-cap magazines just like last time. Might be interesting if they just make them full-on illegal w/o grandfathering in the old ones, but I seriously doubt it.
Maybe a few other things will ride along with it, like the kinds of things that Moran is proposing. All of which make perfect sense IMHO. None of which would’ve made a lick of difference in this case FWIW, but make sense just the same.
I bet there will be multiple bills introduced (Feinstein plans to introduce one in the next Congress) but if they’ll get out of committee and actually come up to a vote is another matter.

He does.

Nothing is permanent. Even if something like that passed, a few years from now some NRA lackey will fold an overturn of the restrictions into a defense appropriations bill and that’ll be the end of it.
Moran’s proposals are likely the most that will come out of this. Pretty much the only thing that happens when Obama talks about guns is that sales go through the roof. Bastard probably owns stock.
Ah, the famed liberal “tolerance”. Only your opinions are permitted here, everyone else must leave. That’s so tolerant. How dare anyone also live in the same county as you who dares not share your “enlightened” views.
Feinstein will go through catalogs personally this time to pick scary looking guns or will her staffers do it again?
Now we can see posts show up that say “awaiting moderation”

I see that despite the predictions that the world will end today, some things will never change and always be the same. Predictability. Whether you like it or not, you have to admire predictability and consistency. Very few things or people these days are predictable and consistent. And some folks will always be the ones that put root beer into the Bacardi Egg Nog or pass wind loudly in the middle of the CEO’s presentation.

I did finally figure out how to reply to a certain post. Ctrl + c the comment you want to reply to, then press the “Blockquote” button (it looks like a quotation mark), then Ctrl + p to paste comment in the blockquote, press blockquote button again to get out of the reply you just pasted.
I know, this method is way easier than simply pressing the “reply” button.

Ahha! It “woiked”, doc. Thanks, much obliged. Now let’s see how the war will develop.
