Despite what trolls say some of these places are decent. Steer clear of the broiler when you want pizza though, I still tell jokes about the one I had almost two years ago. (they have a great cheese steak tho)
Lost Dog is pretty good. I usually go for the whole wheat crust. They also have a gluten free crust option. At happy hour their personal size pizza is $ 2 off and so are their draft craft beers. For delivery, they also will deliver any of their bottled craft beers.
Ledo’s is pretty good too, but does not deliver beer with the pizza. I look forward to trying Red Rocks. I have been waiting for them to be open a bit longer to work the bugs out. I understand they have some good happy hour deals too.
Sicilian Pizza on South Walter Reed next to the Science Reading room is really good. $8 carry-out large with 2 toppings. It’s not wood-fired or neopolitan or anything, but just real good pizza.
Tried Red Rocks last weekend and thought it was good. The crust is just right.
sorry it was angelico’s for a while. But YES sicillian has really good Brooklyn style pizza. too bad there isn’t a Jumbo slice in arlington.
Sicillian pizza is SO good I lived on the pike 2 years and they are my number one fav especially the bbq chicken pizza. i serious consider driving from rockville sometimes to get them.
Don’t bother with any of those. Get in your car and drive to the Italian Store on Lee Highway. Call first so you don’t have to wait.
Alternatively, try Naked Pizza over at Pentagon Row. They may deliver to you depending on where you live.
