Looking for suggestions where I can camp out on Inauguration Day to do school work. Rappahanick Coffee is a choice, but I don’t want to take up a table for hours. Usually the library is my choice, but it’s closed. My shcool is online, so no campus.
The Artisphere’s little cafe area is actually pretty nice. Free wifi I believe, too.
Pines of Florence on Fairfax in Virginia Square. That place is like a ghost town.
There’s renovation going on at home, so not very quiet. I should have mentioned that……
Thanks…..! I guess I should tip the Artisphere Cafe about $2M to help defray the cost.
But, they could be busy with the overflow from the Rossyln Metro passengers who disembark as the Orange line goes to single tracking.
The Artisphere does appreciate any spare $2M bills you have, of course. They also have a tip jar large enough for the sort of novelty-sized check that would be demanded for such an amount.
There was not a single other person in there to enjoy their functioning air conditioning in the 100+ heat following the derecho, so I’m sure you’ll find a suitable atmosphere there for studying in January.
Are County libraries open? Seems like they’d be perfect.
No point in studying, you’ll most likely fail.
Human Leather: I notice your four posts all came 16 minutes ago. Did you just go around posting any snide comments you could think of on the spot?
@R Griffon. Libraries are closed per MLK Day. It’s my favorite hangout! Thanks for your suggestion. But if I were you I would just hang out in a hotel lobby.
