Wish he spent more time on an extra verse and didn’t just fade out at the end.
Me continually writing his name in doesn’t seem to be getting him elected
Very well done. In general, actors should stick to acting, and stop using their “fame” as an opportunity to spout off about their political views, no matter what they are. They’re actors, not phd rocket scientists. Yet they always seem to have an audience. Why so many of us listen to them and act like they matter is simply bewildering.
Meh, probably his weakest video. Jim Carrey’s was funnier.
This guy isn’t funny. I’m not sure why people think he is.
He isn’t f unny because he’s pointing out the hypocrisy?
Just because Jim Carrey has played characters that use guns does not make him a hypocrite. Its called fiction and all actors at some point probably have to do something they are against in their personal life. Why take his video so serious, especially if he so-called “washed up”?
He makes a LOT of money depicting violence. A lot of people in hollywood do. Some people say that violent movies encourages/promotes violence. I don’t buy it, but perhaps some people are so susecptible that hollywood is guilty of contributing to violence people acting out their violence from what they see in movies?
While the gun thing is one of his points, I think his major point is that Carrey has taken a ridiculous stand on vaccines, and Remy correctly points out that polio, for example, is pretty bad.
ok, he’s a comedian first. He has made MOST of his money from comedy, not depicting violence…way to go on trying to spin that though.
Why does the gun lobby get so bent out of shape when someone says something against guns ? And in this case, it was a comedian who did it, so anything that comes out of his mouth should be taken with a grain of salt.
Maybe the Pet Detective should have researched his backup band a little better before using them in a gun control piece:
“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.” — Mahatma Gandhi
BREAKING: Washed up actor makes a video about a washed up actor making a video about a crazy washed up actor.
Remy hasn’t been even remotely entertaining since he started working for Reason.
I replied to Novasteve’s comment above. Why doesn’t it nest?
This is a very confusing comment.
You say that SOME people think that cinematic violence leads to real-life violence, but that you don’t agree with that idea.
But, apparently just for the sake of continuing to argue, you then state that perhaps it DOES lead to real-life violence.
