Rush+: Yay or Nay?

While we're still only a few days in, it'd be interesting to hear people's feedback on the new rush hour plan.  I've found that the Orange line is near the same level of crowded, but the Blue line trains nearly empty at Rosslyn and stay that way into DC.  What baffles me is why I keep seeing Blue liners get on before me at Rosslyn, but stay on all the way to L'Enfant.  My biggest grip about it is that Orange trains seem to bunch up, then there's a 7-12 minute wait for the next.  3 of 5 trips this week have had a 8-12 minute wait for a train, then seeing 2-3 trains (near empty) after, but still get just as jammed.

Will have to revisit this in a few weeks as well, in case any kinks are still being worked out and as people get adjusted (lookin' at you, L'Enfant blue riders)

no difference on orange, seems about the same amount of trains & same amount of crowds on board. the blue line is all messed up though. have to wait for months at rosslyn to head south.

Think they cut the number of blue line trains and justified it by saying that some of the yellow line trains were going to Franconia… which is great if you're going south from DC. Arlington? Not so much.

They failed to think their cunning plan through.

Rush Plus has been a mess so far this week.  Much longer wait times for trains on the orange line and each train is completely jam-packed.  It's almost comical to hear a promotion on the P.A. system for the virtues of Rush Plus while at the same time looking at the arrivals sign and seeing the next train is coming in 9 minutes at the peak of rush hour.

    Opinion: Meh.

It doesn't affect me much since (on the days I go in to work) I usually get to the platform around 9:15-9:30 which means my fare is actually going up by 15¢. I noticed the arrival board is completely useless as yesterday it indicated a train 6 minutes away, arrived in 3 while the board continued to indicate 3.

Monday & Tuesday the trains were pretty empty. Last night I didn't leave downtown until around 8 and the train was packed.

Rush+ has been great for me.  I asked my wife to drop me off at the Metro on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – I hardly take it – and there were so many trains.

On the way home, especially last night, all the trains were orange while I was waiting at McPherson square!

Rush+ has been great for me as well.  I have been able to get a seat everyone morning and evening rush this week (so far). It's nice to get on at Court House in the AM and actually get on an Orange line in less than 5 minutes.
