Driving home at just before midnight tonight (Thursday) I noticed a strange smell along Arlington Blvd between Glebe and Carlin Springs, kind of a mix between burning chemical and forest fire. There was what looked like a fire dept SUV going very slowly with flashers on, westbound on Arlington Blvd. Any news?

There's a lot of road between Carlin Springs and Glebe.
The Washington Post had an article out yesterday on a couple of forest fires burning in Shenandoah causing a strange smell all over the region
