What's everyone's favorite Thai restaurant in Arlington? I live in Courthouse and always go to Swatadee but I am looking for another option.

Duangrats at Bailey's Crossroads.  Much hyped place, but I think it's worth it.

Sawadtee is our go to in Courthouse as well. When we feel like driving however, Bangkok 54 on Columbia Pike next to Cinema and Drafthouse does indeed rock. People also feel very strongly about Thai Square- right nearby Bangkok 54, yet I don't see it.

Bangkok 54 on the Pike is probably my favorite (and I think the best around).

Crystal Thai on 50 (in the same shopping center as Outback) is pretty good, a little more authentic.

Normally I head to Burapa in Clarendon since it's right across the street and they always have a Groupon or LivingSocial offer…not the best Thai in the area, but super convenient and pretty good as well.

Does Bangkok 54's store sell thai frozen dinners?

The Pad Thai at Thai Square is very good.  I haven't had much else there though.  I usually go to Thaiphoon in Pentagon City . . . above average, consistent, and convenient.  Especially the Pad Pik Khing.

Technically in Alexandria but PO Siam Thai on Mount Vernon Ave is excellent.

    I prefer Thai Square.

    1. Bangkok 54

    2. Thai at Corner (name of the week, at Wilson & Wayne)

    3. Sawatdee

Surprised no one has said Thai Noy in Westover – my favorite by far.

I wish we had Thai in downtown DC near my office.

I was always a huge Crystal Thai fan, and they've lasted a long time.

Bangkok 54 is good. I've also been “meh” about Thai Square.

Bangkok Golden has a Thai menu and a Lao menu. Good stuff.

Ever notice there are no thai food trucks? Just korean, and a single pho truck. Thailand is famous for its street foods.

my go-to used to be 1Gen in Ballston. The food was fantastic and so was the service. I've tried it twice since it switched over to Bangkok Bistro, and it's just not the same.

I tried Thai Curry the other day, near Ravi Kabob at Pershing and Glebe; it was pretty excellent and I'll definitely go again. Bonus points that they serve Khao Soy — unfortunately, they don't have a vegetarian option.

Bangkok 54 and Crystal Thai have also been pretty solid contenders for me.

“Downtown” is a big area but there is a very good Thai place at 14th & K – Bangkok Thai. They have a good, cheap lunch menu. It's on a Circulator Route (which, depending on the time of day, may not be as fast as walking.)
