with oompah music. Smells like sauerkraut, and has tons of german beer but hopefully not at beer snob prices.
Yay! Oktoberfest in Arlington. I’d be very happy about that! What’s not to like about German wurst and beer?
Yep… that last conversation degenerated into an argument about the Westover Market. I remember it well.
And, for the record, the Westover Market is the closest thing around here to what’s being described.
it would be hilarious if one opened but then banned smoking (even outside) and homeless people drank free
He always rails on about Clarendon snobs and Manhattan wannabes in the “new” Arlington. Then he turns around and acts snobbish, or worse, about “Third Worlders” (to paraphrase him), whether or not “they” are employed or not, and whether or not they are active and positive members of the area. As far as I can tell, what he really thinks Arlington needs is to remove everyone except working-class or non-snobbish middle class Anglo-Saxons who smoke and only drive for transportation.
I’m with Steve and Sunshine on this one. I think a beerhall would be a great addition to Arlington.
I’ll say it again. Courthouse Plaza is the perfect location for a seasonal German style beer hall.
Well said, Michael H.
Back to the topic, we need a Hofbräuhaus.
I think this would be absolutely awesome in Courthouse Plaza.
it’s the bi-annual german beer hall thread i see
wtf is up w/ n o v a s t e v e and s u n s h i n e yapping about german beer halls so much? this is like the third time they’ve had that exact same exchange on different threads here. wtf y’all
Does anyone know the best way to get to the Home Depot in Falls Church. I usually drive out 66 West until I get to Chantilly and then turn around and come back in on 66 until I get to 495, at which point I hop over to Rt. 50 going eastbound and exit into the Home Depot parking lot. But I swear there must be a faster way that I just haven’t figured out yet.
