So in addition to the hawk, what animals have you seen in Arlington? Walking to the Courthouse Metro every day, I see lots of rabbits, and one day I saw a few raccoons. Taking a walk between Pershing and Wilson near VA Square one day, my wife and I saw a fox.
I saw dead everything on the potomac heritage trail. I did see vultures by garbage pails between the gas station on washington and 10th and tallula and eat bar.
Fox, deer (tons of deer), chipmunk, opossum, turtle, raccoon. I bet donaldson run has it's own ecosystem though.

I've seen a number of rabbits in my neighborhood. When I've been out walking I've seen hawks, rabbits, an occasional possum and a couple of foxes.
In addition to the wildlife listed, I have seen a wild turkey on 24th St N. next to Fort C.F. Smith Park. That was unexpected.
Inferior Homo sapiens. Everywhere! Also Sylvilagus floridanus and Procyon lotor.

SteveBot does not want to get banned like control-freak libs banned smoking.
Not in Arlington but when I worked stupidly early shifts in upper Northwest I would see deer all along Foxhall and in Ward Circle.
I'm working from home today so I hope to get some more shots of the hawk this afternoon.
