Arlington Pet of the Week: Cane

Becky's Pet Care

This week’s Pet of the Week is Cane, a labrador retriever whose heart is in South Florida with “The U.”

Here’s what Cane’s mother, Jamie, had to say about her pooch:

Cane is a very energetic and lovable white Labrador Retriever. Named after her beloved Miami Hurricanes, she is a loyal fan to all things Canes.

Cane prides herself with protecting the streets of Arlington; which she does daily by barking at the awful brown delivery truck that frequents our block.  She has a plan to eliminate all deliveries to our house by 2015. During her downtime from crime watch, she enjoys long walks in the park, swimming, or just laying around.

Each day Cane dedicates her time to be being a role model to her younger human sister. Through lots of kisses and play the bond they share is incredible and something that Cane takes pride in. Cane also likes to give back to other labs that may not have it as nice as she does. A loyal participant of the annual lab walk, held in Annapolis benefiting Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P. Inc., she feels it’s important for other labbies to get treatment and homes so they can live happy lives like hers!

In closing, Cane would like to thank the important people who got her to where she is today: her boyfriend and neighbor, Murphy; her Dad; and her Grandpa. Without their love and excessive feeding of treats she would not be the Lab she is today.
