Arlington Pet of the Week: Greta

Becky's Pet Care

This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Greta, a sweet and playful cat who is partially blind.

Here’s what Greta’s owners, Jenna and Robert, had to say about her:

Greta Molster is a three-and-a-half year-old Siamese kitty who loves cuddles, chasing laser pointers and playing with her collection of toy mice.

A few years ago Greta’s parents, Jenna and Robert, adopted her just three months after they started dating, despite the fact that Robert is allergic to most cats. However, Jenna always imagined life with a kitty and encouraged Robert to help her find a one that he wasn’t (too) allergic to. Thankfully, along came Greta! Once her owners saw Greta’s adorable blind eye and fluffy fur, they knew she was the one for them.

Greta has the sweetest personality and will accept a bully rub from anyone who will offer. She particularly likes nudging visitors into paying attention to her. Her parents recently moved into a two-bedroom condo and Greta could not be happier to have her own room. Her favorite place to relax is on the right pillow nearest to the window on the guest bed, where she can watch the buses drive by.

Greta’s likes are chasing laser pointers, hearing her mom shake the bag of treats, snoozing on fuzzy blankets, batting at toy mice and loose hair elastics, and watching Lucha Libre wrestling with her dad. She dislikes the vacuum cleaner, John Cena, car rides, hearing the wind blowing through the trees and when her parents leave for work.
