One More Page Books and some of Arlington’s PTAs are coordinating a book drive to get more books into the hands of Arlington students. With the schools and libraries closed, the PTAs started collecting books to distribute at some of Arlington’s school sites. One More Page set up a special web page where the community can purchase books from grade-level lists or simply purchase a “book bundle.

For every $100 spent by the community on this campaign, One More Page will also contribute an additional five books. More information can be found here. New and used children’s books can also be dropped off at Arlington Science Focus School (1501 N. Lincoln St.) Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Arlington PTAs interested in being part of this effort should contact [email protected]. Also, there is more than one week to go to contribute to the Plant Hope Drive coordinated by Moms Demand Action — Arlington for children living at Doorways and families participating in Arlington elementary school food distributions.
