“During the summer we will sing, dance, engage in theatrical exercises, and demonstrate our storytelling skills,” says Madaline Langston, Encore Education Programs Director, “Let’s not forget one of the most important elements: fun!”
Since the Governor’s stay at home order, Encore’s staff has been teleworking diligently to create a welcoming and nurturing virtual space for their students and families. Encore premiered a “Live with Encore” series on social media to offer a free Parent & Me virtual class and connect families with teaching artists. In addition, Encore was delighted to offer virtual spring break camp and classes. “Theatre by Kids, for Kids!” Founded in 1967, Encore Stage & Studio’s mission is to build a lifelong appreciation for live theatre by involving young people in all aspects of theatre arts -onstage, backstage, in the classroom, and in the audience.
