The Arlington Concert Band to Celebrate French composers with a Free Concert

This Community Post was written by the Arlington Concert Band and underwritten by Washington Workplace.

The Arlington Concert Band (ACB) will perform A Night of French Music on Wednesday, March 13. The concert is a celebration of French composers including pieces by Dukas, Offenbach, Bizet, Satie and more. The performance will be held in the Washington-Lee High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Entry is free of charge but donations are welcome! The ACB will also perform on June 1 at the National Community Band Festival held at George Mason University. A wind ensemble made up of more than 50 professional music educators and dedicated amateur musicians, the ACB performs regularly throughout the community and plays an assortment of music including marches, show tunes and classical arrangements.

ACB’s musicians come from a variety of backgrounds — from lawyers to IT professionals to retirees — but all are united around a shared mission to bring a mix of family friendly, professional music to the community for all to enjoy and to provide an outlet for making music performance a lifelong activity.
