Arlington, Virginia 22202 Map

Event Info

Dead Horse Comedy Productions brings together top comedians from the DMV and beyond for a live standup comedy show!

Matt Ruby, Headliner

Matt Ruby is a comedian, writer, and filmmaker from New York City. His comedy has been filmed by Comedy Central, MTV, NBC/Seeso, and FOX. He has two standup specials on YouTube: Substance and Feels Like Matt Ruby (“funny” according to the NY Times). His two albums, “Feels Like Matt Ruby,” and “Hot Flashes,” are in regular rotation on Sirius and also went top 10 on the iTunes Comedy charts. He’s also been featured on CNN, The Huffington Post, New York magazine, Time Out, and many more.

Kandace Saunders

Kandace Saunders made her comedic debut in 2006 during a comedy competition at the DC Improv. Although, she didn’t win, she didn’t get booed, and people laughed. So for Kandace, that was enough to pursue a career in standup comedy. Kandace’s sarcasm, and quick wit, coupled with her ability to turn life into “extremely laughable situations,” has allowed her to become one of today’s fastest rising comedians. You can catch Kandace at comedy clubs and colleges across the country.

Mike Brown, aka OlmikeB

Mike Brown first felt the nudge toward comedy in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia where his affection for the art form was nurtured and cultivated.

After serving in the United States Army for nine years as a soldier, and receiving numerous awards for his service and valor, OlmikeB decided it was time to launch his comedy career.

Mike started his matriculation into comedy by hosting shows at various venues throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Due to his friendly and engaging personality he is immediately likable, and his unique, yet earthy and energetic approach to humor led to him opening for acts like Beth Stelling, Dino Archie and Lil Rel Howery. These experiences led to the auspicious establishment of his own production company–OMBvision, in 2011. OlmikeB went on to become a regular writer for “Da Jae Spot” and the locally produced TV show “The Tommy Taylor Show.”

OlmikeB’s captivating comedy skills lends to him being a perfect fit for the big screen. As a result, he has begun work in this area. He currently possesses an IMBD credit for his role in the short film “A Family Affair”, written and produced by Tommy Taylor, Jr. This film has been a beloved favorite at many film festivals. His other on-screen projects include; The Tommy Taylor Show, Capital Comedy Connection, and DCTV commercial “Anytime Anywhere”.

Vinny Lombardi

Vinny Lombardi is a stand-up comedian from the DC-area whose credits include the DC Improv, Magooby’s Joke House, and St. Louis Funny Bone. His astute observations, experiences, and take on his family and parenthood make him a highly sought after comedian. It won’t be long before you see him in shows across the U.S. Vinny is also a 26-year military veteran and owner of Wicked Comedy Entertainment, producing comedy shows across the area.
