Hop on a bike and ride with BikeArlington this Bike to Work Day (BTWD) whether you’re working at home or commuting to the office. Join people all over the region in celebrating biking and commuting.
This free event is open to everyone. Arlington will have ten pit stops and BikeArlington will host five pit stops in Rosslyn, Ballston, Columbia Pike, Shirlington and Clarendon. Pre-register for a convenient pit stop and be sure to pick up your Bike to Work Day t-shirt on the big day.
Live Stand Up Comedy in Arlington Starring Cerrome Russell
Featuring some of the DMV’s best comics.
Cerrome Russell:
Born and raised in Sumter County, Ga., started his comedy career 10 years ago while serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was first exposed to a broader audience as a cast member on the 2nd season of BET’s popular prank show Hell Date. He has traveled extensively; performing at college campuses and military installations worldwide, as well as opening for Hannibal Burress. Cerrome Russell’s comedy comes in many varieties, including Off-Center, Truthful, and of course, Country.
Denise Taylor:
Denise Taylor’s sardonic material, unique observations, and commanding stage presence has placed her at the top of the comedy circuit in Washington, D.C. Denise is a regular at venues like the Kennedy Center, The DC Improv Comedy Club, and Underground Comedy DC. She’s opened for several national touring headliners, including Patton Oswalt, Drew Michael, Nicole Byer, Mark Normand, and Judah Friedlander. Denise is currently a contributor for The Onion.
Kevin Seefried:
Kevin Seefried is a NY-born, Colorado-bred, and D.C.-based comedian whose stand-up has been featured on Sirius XM radio and at festivals including the Brooklyn, Laughing Skull, and Underground Comedy Festivals. He hosts the weekly stand-up show “Batting Cage Comedy” in Washington, D.C. and has performed all over the country.

This festival has the atmosphere of a bustling global marketplace with the support of the embassy promoting the country through vibrant displays of visual art, food, handicrafts as well as travel and tourism exhibits. Donation of $20 dollars for all the public, guests have the opportunity to imagine that there are traveling to see the culture, and music and do some holiday shopping — all during the 6 hours of entertainment! Kenmore Auditorium in Arlington Virginia on May 21 from 3:30 to 10:30 p.m.!

Mozart and Mendelssohn — both child prodigies, pianists, musical conductors, and teachers and two of the most-celebrated musical figures of all time. Mendelssohn was the only musical prodigy of the 19th century whose stature could rival that of Mozart. Enjoy a concert featuring the works of two virtuoso composers whose music still excites and touches the heart.
Featuring the Piano Trio in C major K.548, Piano Quartet in E Flat Major K.493 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Piano Quartet No. 2 in F Minor by Felix Mendelssohn.
NCE’s Internationally acclaimed roster of musicians will delight with virtuoso performances, humor and storytelling. The artists featured on May 21 are Leo Sushansky (violin/artistic director), Carlos César Rodríguez (piano), Uri Wassertzug (viola) and Steven Honigberg (cello).
Choose How You Attend
Each ticket comes with the (unlimited) ability to stream the concert one week after the concert date. It’s such a gift that we can all partake in these performances in person, but also a gift that we can watch these wonderful performers in our pajamas! There’s something for everyone in the National Chamber Ensemble’s latest season.
Safety Guidelines
To maximize the safety and comfort of our wonderful arts patrons, the National Chamber Ensemble will implement the CDC recommended guidelines for those attending our concerts in person. These currently include the following:
The NCE will limit in-person attendance to less than 50% of the theater capacity to allow patrons to spread out and feel comfortable.
Patrons must be fully vaccinated. Be prepared to show proof.
Patrons must wear face masks at all times.

We’re Back! Calling all kids for The Arlington Triathlon in Memory of Anne Viviani, a youth-only swim-bike-run event for ages 7-15.
In its 8th year, the race takes place Sunday, June 12th at Washington-Liberty Aquatics Center. It features a (socially distanced) time trial pool swim, circuit bike course on closed streets, and an off-road run to the finish on the track.
