All participants receive a finisher’s medal and event tech shirts for those who register prior to September 6, 2017. The race is chip timed, with the 10K beginning at 8:45 a.m., and the 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. Registration fees are $25 for the 5K, and $40 for the $10k. There is race day registration available for those who arrive 45 minutes prior to the start time. The race starts and ends at the Bluemont Park, located at 329 N. Manchester St in Arlington, Virginia.
EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the disarming and disposal of bombs. EOD technicians are highly-trained military members serving in the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force who are responsible for disarming, rendering safe and disposing bombs. The EOD profession is one of the most dangerous occupations in the military. Proceeds from the event help support the EOD Warrior Foundation mission to improve the quality of life for the EOD family by providing financial relief, scholarship opportunities, physical, social, and emotional support.
