Exhibition Opening Event “My Fellow Soldiers: Letters from World War I”

National Postal Museum

2 Massachusetts Ave. NE

Washington, D.C. 20002

Join us to celebrate an opening of the museum’s newest exhibition, My Fellow Soldiers: Letters from World War I. This special exhibition commemorates the centennial of the United States’ involvement in World War I and uncovers its rich history through compelling personal letters written by military service members and their loved ones on the home front.
The evening event will feature dramatic letter readings of original letters and remarks by the curator of the exhibition. Come enjoy light refreshments and a live band as it plays selections of popular and patriotic music from the period. This event is free and open to the public, but RSVP is required. RSVP here: https://exhibition-opening-my-fellow-soldiers-npm.eventbrite.com/

My Fellow Soldiers: Letters from World War I was created by the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum in collaboration with the Center for American War Letters at Chapman University. This event is sponsored by Chapman University Leatherby Libraries.
