Encore Learning will offer a screening of a film documentary of Sam Waterston Performing Lincoln’s Cooper Union Address on Monday, February 26 from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm. We appreciate your including the info in your newspaper.

On Monday, February 26 Encore Learning will present a film screening of Sam Waterston performing Abraham Lincoln’s Cooper Union Address, at the Arlington Central Library, 1015 Quincy Street, Arlington, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

In 2004 a film was made with actor Sam Waterston re-enacting Abraham Lincoln’s February 27, 1860 speech at Cooper Union’s great hall in New York City. Although Lincoln was not yet President, his speech offers meaningful comparisons to today’s political situation.

The film will be introduced by Jack Royer, a retired foreign service office, who was Vice President of Encore Learning for 10 years and has taught an Encore Learning class for several years.

The public is invited. The program is sponsored jointly by Encore Learning and the Arlington Public Library. For more information, call Encore Learning at 703-228-2144.
