The Age of Consequences. Refugee-focused film screening followed by panel discussion with film director, Jared Scott, and Syrian refugee filmmaker, Saria Samakie., who will discuss the complications and nuances of how to tell the refugee story in a way that resonates. Pre-screening happy hour at Stageplate Bistro (900 N. Glebe Rd.) at 6pm. This is an outreach event on the path to the 1 Journey Festival next June. Co-hosted by NOVA Friends of Refugees, Marymount University, and the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital.
