Our Northern Virginia soil and temperatures are actually very well-suited for growing fruit. You will learn the tips and techniques to help you successfully grow commonly grown fruit trees in your own yard, including apples, cherries, peaches, nectarines, figs, pears and more. We will include best practices for assessing your site; pruning, watering and fertilizing; integrated pest management; and other ideas to maximize your harvest.
