by Professor and author Steve Brady
“Versailles at 100: Lessons and Legacies”

Steve Brady is a diplomatic historian, with special interests in German-American relations, early United States foreign relations, and Congress and foreign policy. He also has teaching interests in US military history and the presidency. His first book, Eisenhower and Adenauer: Alliance Maintenance under Pressure (Lexington/Harvard Cold War Studies), examines the West German-American relationship in a crucial decade of the Cold War. His current book project is Chained to History: Slavery and United States Foreign Relations to 1865. He is a Professor at George Washington University and prior to that he taught at the University of Notre Dame.
